Distributed Simulation for Large Communication Infrastructures Across Loosely Coupled Domains

چکیده
We address the problem of distributing a parallel simulator based on the Local Time Warp approach across loosely coupled domains, like the Internet. We propose a mechanism to cope with problems which may arise because of unpredictable delays in communication between clusters which compose the simulator. The proposed scheme is completely distributed and is able to globally tune the entire simulation so as to minimize the waste in computational resources due to rollbacks and not to overrow the resource availability of diierent simulation sites.

Mixed Large-Eddy Simulation Model for Turbulent Flows across Tube Bundles Using Parallel Coupled Multiblock NS Solver
In this study, turbulent flow around a tube bundle in non-orthogonal grid is simulated using the Large Eddy Simulation (LES) technique and parallelization of fully coupled Navier – Stokes (NS) equations. To model the small eddies, the Smagorinsky and a mixed model was used. This model represents the effect of dissipation and the grid-scale and subgrid-scale interactions. The fully coupled NS eq...

متن کاملAccess control in ultra-large-scale systems using a data-centric middleware
The primary characteristic of an Ultra-Large-Scale (ULS) system is ultra-large size on any related dimension. A ULS system is generally considered as a system-of-systems with heterogeneous nodes and autonomous domains. As the size of a system-of-systems grows, and interoperability demand between sub-systems is increased, achieving more scalable and dynamic access control system becomes an im...
متن کاملSecuring Publish/Subscribe for Multi-domain Systems
Two convincing paradigms have emerged for achieving scalability in widely distributed systems: role-based, policy-driven control of access to the system by applications and for system management purposes; and publish/subscribe communication between loosely coupled components. Publish/subscribe provides efficient support for mutually anonymous, many-to-many communication between loosely coupled ...
متن کاملDistributed Shared Memory: A Review
In parallel and distributed applications there are two common programming models for interprocess communication: shared memory and message passing. Shared memory has been the standard for tightly-coupled systems (multiprocessors), where the processors have uniform access to a single global memory. Although it is easy to use, memory contention limits the scalability of tightly-coupled systems. O...
